Sunday School

Sundays at 9:30 a.m.
The Older Adult Sunday school class meets in the library located the first door to the left when you enter from Commercial street. The class is studying People, Passages and Places, by Roger Carstenson and Ray Tickner. Those who participate in the study will grow in their confidence in understanding the Bible, it's major themes, its cast of characters, and its geographical setting. Rev. John Park Winkler is leading the class.

Open Circle Class
This class meets in the room next to the library - the second door to you left as you enter from Commercial Street.
As Disciples of Christ we ask the question, what is it that we should actually be doing in addition to fellowship and worship?
Determining the answer and implementing it is the class’s objective. We will dialog how the vision statement may point the way.
We have also agreed to read Rick Warren’s book The Purpose Driven Church as a resource to stimulate discussion over the next several weeks. Prayerfully, we ask for guidance because we know “where God guides, he will provide.” But “study” is only part of the objective. It must be followed by action. As the class’s name indicates, everyone is invited to get involved. See you in Sunday school.

Children will be dismissed from the sanctuary at an announced time to go to "Worship and Wonder." This is a special time for children to learn about sacred space, listening to God and hearing the great stories of the faith. Children are given a time to respond to the story in his/her own way through arts and crafts, and then they will experience the reading of the Bible and prayer time. When time permits, the time will close with a "feast."
